[Bookstoprisoners] $ and minutes

Books to Prisoners has agreed to give $200 per month to the IMC. Previously
we were giving 10% of our gross earnings (from book sales and donations).
This is more than that... but we feel we can do it, because we are doing
well selling our donated excess books at Amazon. So, unless something falls
through (Stephane and Beth), please start transfer of funds in August
(discontinue 10%).

Contrary to the report from the Steering meeting we have not "taken over"
the ante room. We are really trying hard to contain ourselves there and keep
it neat for other uses, while at the same time using it as a room to keep
the Amazon  books in (so they don't get mixed up with all the other books.)
We are also using that very scary black "furnace" room for (pre-book-sale)
storage. And we are using a portion of the men's bathroom (for incoming
books that haven't been sorted yet). (This will be organized in the next
week.) We are also using the women's room for box storage.

We really are trying hard to keep things neat and to not "take over"
anything. Please come to me if you have any concern.

Please come and work with us. Part of our "overflow" is because we have so
many books being donated. We have equal growth in the letters being
recieved. The only thing we don't quite have enough of, is volunteers. We
are working every Thursday and Saturday from 2-5pm, and will soon be adding
a week day evening work time also.

We really appreciate the IMC as our host program. You all don't get the
privlege to read the letters that are pouring in. Inmates are so grateful!
We are very near to having shipped 5000 books into prisons.
