Steering Meeting,

Attending:

Sephane, Brian Doliner, Ray Morales, Bob Illyes, Sandra Ahten

the IMC open set hours in September. Contact him if you would like to staff
a shift.

--------------------- Print – Currently on "summer break." They are having
an discussion of revamping the paper and Bob solicited feedback on the size,
cover, content mix etc.

-----------------------WRFU – WRFU Capital Campaign. ½ to WRFU and kick off
on Saturday. Practice at 1pm. July to July 2007: raise $200K is the goal. ½
is to go to WRFU ½ to IMC. Though first $20,000 is going to WRFU for
immediate needs. (Hondurus project (Radio Lenca) (sister station) and
building the tower.)

Lindsey is leaving town. Vet Med school in South Africa. (goodbye party for
her too).
----------------------Finance: Beth is out of town for the next two weeks.
Finance slows down to a screeching halt. Chase Bank is a pain to deal with
for credit cards. Stephane is checking with UofI credit card to see if we
can get cards through them.

100% membership is in the computer. (According to Beth yesterday at finance
meeting). Next thing Beth is going to do is work with list of sustaining
funders. (While she is still maintaining her regular duties.)
Reimbursement are targeted for two weeks.

The group asks:
Is School for Designing a Society renting space here in the fall. Any report
on this?

 Is Cherry Alley going to have a solid proposal changing their rent status?

---------------------BtP: Sandra reports that IMC should receive 10% from
the booksale receipts. We are also selling books on Amazon with a 50/50
arrangement with a bookseller. This is going well. (Averaging over $200/week
gross).

Shows- No show. Everyone at the meeting has concern over how difficult it is
to get anything booked. Discussion of steering needing to override previous
decision about the shows group having autonomy in booking and:

1)      absence of working group preventing us from booking space in short
term

2)      possibly request for long term space use should be able to come
through steering

 Can someone from "shows" please represent at the next meeting?
