Peace Bazaar Seeking Donations
This is a great time to do a little house cleaning and
donate to the Peace Bazaar any unwanted items that are
gathering dust in your home, but might be considered a
treasure to someone else. The Peace Bazaar, an
alternative gift fair, will be held on Saturday,
December 2nd, at McKinley Presbyterian Church (5th and
John). We are looking for items suitable for giving as
gifts including pottery, ceramics, antiques, cookware,
dishes, art, decorations, household items, books,
toys, etc. All items should be in good
condition. Please no used clothing, used computers,
large furniture or broken items.
Next Sunday, there will be a box for donations at the
Meetinghouse. Donations may also be brought to 412 W
Oregon St in Urbana until Nov 27. Between Nov 28 and
Dec 1 bring donations directly to McKinley
Presbyterian Church, 809 S. Fifth. Donations of baked
items and plants may be brought to McKinley on Dec.
1st. All proceeds from the Peace Bazaar will be given
to groups promoting peace and social justice. For more
information, see http://www.peacebazaar.org. Contact
Joan (369-2853 or joan at peacebazaar.org) if you have
questions about donation suitability or if you need
donations picked up. You may also contact Charlotte
Green at U-C Friends Meeting, chgreen48 at yahoo.com or
355-1646.
