Hey BTPers--
Here is an email that you can forward to people/organizations that you think
might be interested in advertising the alternative gift program. Later
today I will send it to the email list of progressive folks that I have and
I'll post it to the IMC page before the end of the week.
More info to come about promoting this at the Peace Bazaar.

Are you looking for a meaningful gift to give your friends and family this
holiday season? Why not consider buying a book to send to an inmate in an
Illinois prison or jail in honor of your loved one? Books to Prisoners will
use your donation to buy books to add to the Champaign County Jail Libraries
or to send to an inmate in an Illinois prison.
Your gift will bring hope to a person spending the holidays in prison, as
well as help Books to Prisoners meet the specific requests we have a hard
time filling from our current collection. In particular, dictionaries,
fiction and poetry by African-American authors, and biographies of
African-American leaders fly off of the shelves in the county jail and from
the collection of books we send to inmates.
When you give your d, we will send a lovely card to your loved one telling
them about the gift you gave in their honor as well as explaining the
mission of Books to Prisoners.
To give a gift, please visit www.books2prisoners.org or call Suzanne at
217-721-7516.
