----November 8 - 13 is the fall Books To Prisoners Booksale
in the "Sun Room" (Wednesday - Monday).

Please contact Sandra, if you can volunteer. 217-367-6345.

IMC "staff" will be individually contacted to ask if they will be
able to cashier weekday hours.

----There will be a Romp Stomp Slam Jam during the Booksale
Saturday, Nov 11. Proceeds: 50% IMC 50% BtP

---- Sandra is looking for someone to learn event publicity.
This person would follow Sandra through the process
during the (above mentioned) two events...documenting the
process. Then for future events they would be paid $50-100
to do the publicity. Sandra believes that there would be other
groups willing to pay them the same fees. They would have
access to cheap copies and a fax machine to do the
event.

--speaking of which...does anyone know how we can set up a fax machine at
the
IMC? Our copier can be used as a fax machine, but does it require a phone
line in the basement? We need to pre-program all the media outlets
for press releases and be able to send press releases with the
touch of a key. YMCA used to do this service.Their fax machine
is broken. Would be nice to have it in-house.

-- We have a great (new) copy machine up and running. Cost of copies will be
between
3-5 cents per copy, billed bi-monthly. If anyone needs to know their
access code ask Sandra or Chris.

--We have moved all boxes out of the ante-room and womens
bathroom. We are still using the men's bathroom for incoming
book storage. We are using the ante-room to the BtP space
for the Amazon order fulfillment. That is going well. We are paying
$200 a month to the IMC.

-- We have opened our own checking account, so as to allow the
people doing our shipping to have debit cards, so we don't have
to go through the IMC reimbursement machine. (that needs oiled).


-- We really need volunteers. Thursday 2-5, Saturday 2-5. Even just a
one time shot really helps us. Also we need volunteers willing to be a
librarian in the county jail. (can be as little as once a month).
