I think we need to have a list of commonly made mistakes - It will be easier for new volunteers to want to look over it and refer back to.  But I don't think it needs to be restricted to a new volunteer audience; perhaps by including sections on commonly made mistakes in packaging, filing, and data entry, we can make it useful to older volunteers as well.
