Hello everybody...

I've talked to Susan some about taking care of removing the books after the book sale. I've taken that Monday off (4/16), and plan to be at the IMC first thing in the morning to spend all day moving books and cleaning up. Yes, I'll take care of the cleaning up, too, and speak to Chris the next time I see him about cleaning supplies.

I'm planning to store the books at my house temporariliy, sorting them into "keepers" and "non-keepers" at my leisure, and then I'll make sure they are properly recycled.

(I had also mentioned to Susan that I might take any tradeable books to the Book Barn in Decatur--which I hit once or twice each summer--and see if I can trade in some of our booksale leftovers for dictionaries, African-American books, et cetera. I might not be able to pick up very much, but who knows? They give you a trade-in credit, and then you use the credit for half-off any books you buy. I'm hoping to pick up a few dozen paperbacks, at least, of our most requested categories. If anybody objects to that idea, let me know.)

I haven't lined up any help with loading books yet, except for some not-so-firm "I might be able to do that" replies from friends. I guess I should get on that, huh?

Okay, I'll start with this: Anybody out there who wants to help load books Monday, April 16th (and we need to be DONE by 5pm or sooner because of IMC dance classes) please RSVP to wmullins at insightbb.com. I'll be there by 9am. I also plan to get some of the work done Sunday night. Anybody up for an after-sale cleaning party? I'll have a van and a second car there. The plan is to take the books to my place, about 5 minutes from the IMC down Race Street.

I thought Lincoln Challenge was unable to help us this year. Any other ideas for groups I should call?

Thanks,

Bill

I'll begin seriously nagging some friends this week.
