The entire time was almost breathless in its busy-ness! I even
forgot to ask how many came through; it must have been over 35.

First of all, one prisoner asked how he could donate books to us.
The guard echoed his request. I didn't have anything on me, but told
them about the two closest drop-off boxes. It would be good for
whoever goes there to bring along a few of our handouts.

We had a new volunteer, Maxine ("call me Max") Brown, who had taught
G.E.D. for 12 years at the jail, through Parkland. She is known -
and was warmly greeted - by many of the staff. She is now 82. She
was able to suggest titles, reshelve quickly, etc. She has no
trouble relating to our clientele, and I saw how easily she got a
smile out of them! She was amazed at our setup. I have no idea if
she will sign up again.

These were the requests:

A dream guide (animals and dreams). for Crystal Myrick. I
gather she wants the meaning of animals in dreams. She also
mentioned totems.

The 3d vol. in the Left Behind series. Trina Keomala.

Moseley's Little Yellow Dog. Dick Faulkner.

Drawing flowers. Christopher Lile. [I found one.]

Echoes by Danielle Steele. Tom Swartz.

A divine revelation of hell, by Mary K. Baxter. Also
American prophesies, author unknown. for Derrick Turner.
