[Bookstoprisoners] National Books to Prisoners Conference (inUrbana?!)

I would love to work on a panel about prison mailrooms. I could work
on getting an Assistant Warden from someplace close enough. Mailroom
supervisors generally don't have enough power to talk to for more than
information gathering. I have irritated a couple of them in trying to
get a change on bulk mailings before I understood that I must talk to
the assistant warden in charge of programs and then it is a whole
diffierent ballgame. Those individuals are also in charge of
Librairies in the prison. It might be something they could put on
their resumes since public relations is always on the menu for those
who run the prison. Anyway, it is a great idea to try to get some
perspective from the inside (or the other side) of what we are doing,
along with sharing amongst ourselves.
