Hello. Jamie and I volunteered at the satellite library today. Things went rather well, I think. The only minor problem was that we didn't realize that we were supposed to tell the guards when we were ready for the inmates, so we waited until 9:15 wondering where everyone was before Tristan suggested that we tell them. I think, though, that we were still able to get everyone who wanted to go to the library to come. Anyway, here are the requests:
A Child Called It, by Dave Pelzer-- for Williard Myers
Word Find books-- for Aaron Hall
Bible dictionary, concordance-- for Jimmy Ross
good books written in Spanish-- for Garcia Santos (Santos Garcia?)
Goines, Iceberg Slim, and Terri Woods-- for Artez Johnson
12th book in LaHaye's Left Behind series-- for Jared Carpenter
Enchanter by Sara Douglas-- for Michael Chute
a Quran and other books on Islam-- Mahmoud Bdour
scifi/fantasy by Alan Dean Foster-- for Ted Gray
And, in general, Tristan thought people needed more westerns, Eric Jerome Dickey, and workout books.
I didn't realize that there was such a high demand for magazines, but now that I know, I will be donate my old issues of The Economist (I have a subscription to it). If anyone has old issues of National Geographic or Time that they might want to donate, those seem to be in the highest demand.
Sorry that this email was so lengthy.
-April
