The children's health care bill is back! Congress is voting today on a new version of the bill. It's mostly the same, including full coverage for 10 million children, but there are just enough minor tweaks to get Republicans-who are finally ready to reverse course-to change their votes without looking like they're flip-flopping.1


All the pressure that MoveOn members and our allies have put on Republicans is working, and many are expected to vote for the bill. But will it be enough for a veto-proof majority?

Democrats are standing strong thanks to the huge wave of public support for kids' health care. Even the Bush Administration is giving ground on this issue. It's clear the work we've all done together is having an impact.

With a big enough push, the House could pass the bill with a veto-proof majority, forcing Bush's hand.
