[Bookstoprisoners] IMC needs help restoring windows this weekend

Come learn to restore historic windows,
while helping out a historic downtown Urbana building!

Saturday and Sunday  *  September 8th & 9th  * 1 - 3 pm

at the Independent Media Center (IMC)
in the downtown Post office building at Broadway and Elm.

No experience is needed, and it's good chance to learn.  Tasks include paint
removal, putty removal, applying new putty, repairing damaged wood, priming,
painting, and re-installation.

You will be taught by Todd Rusk, PACA member, who helped organize a recent
window workshop at the IMC with Bob Yapp, historic preservation expert from
Danville.

If you can't make these times, the IMC will continue to hold window
workshops throughout the Fall, thanks to a generous donation of funds for
supples from the Preservation and Conservation Association.
