******* MAKING MONOPRINTS
A new method of monotype printing will be introduced each of the 5 weeks of 
this class. Students will be working with oil paints, waterbased inks, 
watercolor, and collage to create one-of-a-kind prints suitable for framing. 
No art experience necessary. This is an exciting way for those reluctant to 
draw to experiment with color.

Tuesdays, Sept. 30 - Nov. 4, 7 - 9 pm, $95 plus $15 material fee.

******* DRAWING ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BRAIN
For adults who have always wanted to learn to draw, but felt like they 
lacked talent or confidence. This class teaches “realistic” or 
“naturalistic” drawing.  Participants learn that drawing well is really a 
matter of learning a new way of seeing. This class is for the novice or 
those with drawing experience who are interested in improving their skills.  
Past students, who have thought that they couldn't draw anything but stick 
figures, are amazed that at the end of this course, they are able to draw a 
recognizable portrait.


WEEKEND WORKSHOP. Friday, Oct. 17, 6 - 8 pm, Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, 
Oct. 19, 9 - 11 am and 12:30 - 2:30 pm. $95.

******* FUNDEMATALS OF OIL PAINTING
This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of oil painting 
techniques. Working from a still-life, participants will learn basic color 
theory and indirect and direct painting techniques. The class also includes 
demonstration of other techniques such as glazing and scumbling. Most 
materials provided. A great way to try oil painting without a huge 
investment in supplies.

WEEKEND WORKSHOP. Friday, Nov. 14, 6 - 9 pm, Saturday, Nov. 15, and Sunday, 
Nov 16, 9 - 11:30 am and 1 - 3 pm. $95.

******* PORTRAIT PAINTING WITH OILS (& Fundementals of Oil Painting)
This course will provide instruction in painting portraits from photographs. 
Paint a portrait of your loved one or yourself. Supply list sent 1 week 
prior to start of class. Price includes a short consultation prior to class 
with the instructor to make sure an adequate photo is selected so that 
painting can begin at the Friday evening session.

1) Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 12 pm.  Sept. 29, 30, Oct. 1, 2, 3. $95.

2) WEEKEND WORKSHOP. Friday, Dec. 5, 6 - 9 pm, Saturday, Dec. 6, and Sunday, 
Dec. 7,  9 - 11:30 am and 1 - 3 pm. $95.

******* ART WITH INTENTION
This class is not group-taught, but individually directed to each of the 
students. It is an opportunity for adults to explore their creative voices. 
Individualized projects will be based on the student's desire to learn new 
media, gain skill in drawing or painting, continue exploration based on 
skills learned in a "fundamentals" class, explore a theme, etc. Exploratory 
materials provided.

Limited enrollment. Individual instruction. Some previous art instruction or 
permission required.

EVERY WEEK - Thursdays, 2-hour drop in time between 3 - 9 pm. $95 for 5 
(2-hour) sessions in 6 weeks.
