Here are some upcoming Bike Project events... June Members' meeting, Monday at 6:30 pm We will have our monthly members' tomorrow, Monday, June 24, 2019 at 6:30 pm at the Bike Project's Downtown Urbana (IMC) shop at 202 S. Broadway Ave., Urbana, IL. (Entrance via the basement stairwell on the south side of the building). Volunteer Orientation Date: June 27, 2019 6:00 pm Location: Downtown Urbana (IMC) Bike Project -- 202 S. Broadway Ave., Urbana, IL Description: The Bike Project is in need of volunteers who can commit to staffing every week or every other week. Staffers open the shop, assist visitors, teach members, and handle sales. It's also one of the best ways to learn bike repair! Inexperienced mechanics are welcome to join us and learn from our more experienced staff. Our staff orientation will get those interested in staffing up to speed so that they can help staff hours. We will go over the basic things that you can do even without a lot of mechanical experience but for which you only need to be willing to make a regular commitment. New volunteers are encouraged to stay afterward and help out during regular hours from 6:30 pm -- 9 pm, but this is not required. Pizza will be served during the event.
