<li><strong>Location:</strong> UC-IMC Bike Project Location (Downtown Urbana)</li>
<li><strong>Agenda:</strong> Available on the Wiki (<a href="http://thebikeproject.wikispaces.com/2010-June-29+Agenda">http://thebikeproject.wikispaces.com/2010-June-29+Agenda</a>). </li>
<li>There will be discussion about the July "Vision Quest" and the upcoming Mustache Ride. </li>
<li>Attending a general meeting is a great way for bike enthusiasts to figure out how TBP works and learn about volunteer opportunities / upcoming events.</li>

<div><font color="#3333ff" size="4"><strong>The Bike Project Americorp Position - </strong>Applications accepted until July 5th</font></div>
<ul>
<li><font color="#000000">Spread the word. Tell your friends. There is an Americorp volunteer position at The Bike Project.</font></li>
<li>This will be the second year for the position.</li>
<li>This is a great opportunity for someone just out of college and looking to build their resume or for someone looking to make a career change into non-profit bicycle education / advocacy work. </li>

<div><font color="#3333ff" size="4"><strong>Urbana Bicycle Friendly Community Bronze Award</strong> @ the Urbana Farmer's Market</font></div>

<li><strong>When:</strong> Saturday, July 17th @ 10AM @ the Urbana Farmer's Market</li>
<li><strong>What:</strong> The League of American Bicyclists will be presenting the City of Urbana a Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly award.</li>
<li>The <a href="http://www.bikeleague.org/programs/bicyclefriendlyamerica/communities/bfc_about.php">Bicycle Friendly Community Program</a> provides incentives, hands-on assistance, and award recognition for communities that actively support bicycling.</li>
<li>The Bike Project and our accomplishments were an integral part of the application.</li>
<li>Come out and show your support for a bicycle friendly Urbana.</li></ul>
<div><font color="#3333ff" size="4"><strong>June Bike Project Tip</strong> - Tool Use</font></div>
<ul>
<li><font color="#000000">There are lots of specialized tools that can make working on your bike easier.</font></li>
<li>If you're doing something on your bike and it seems unreasonably hard, perhaps there is a tool designed to make it easier.</li>
<li>Ask a volunteer staffer for help and they'll make sure you're using the right tools for the job.</li>
<li>If you don't know how to use a specific tool, make sure to ask. Some tools can be easily broken when used the wrong way.</li>
<li>If a tool is worn out or broken, let a volunteer staffer know so that it can be replaced.</li>
<li><font color="#ff0000">And always - put tools back when you are done!</font></li></ul>
