Hi everyone,

If you're going to be in town this weekend and you're up for some really
good live Cajun music, then come to the Iron Post on Saturday evening
(Sept. 2) for Dennis Stroughmatt & Friends.  Note that this will be an
Early Show, from 6-8pm so you can come out, listen to some music, dance,
perhaps have a bite to eat, and you'll still have the whole evening free.

Dennis Stroughmatt is an excellent fiddle player and he's just released
a CD called The Gambler's Fiddle that features traditional fiddle tunes
that Dennis learned from the Creole community in southern Missouri.  The
band will also be playing traditional Cajun tunes as well.  The band
line-up is going to be Dennis Stroughmatt on fiddle & accordion,
Jennifer Stroughmatt on triangle and rubboard, Jim Willgoose on bass and
yours truly on guitar.

Dennis, Jennifer & Jim are stopping in C-U for this gig as they will be
on the way to Geneva, IL for the folk music festival that's going on
over the Labor Day weekend.  This is a great chance to see Dennis and to
listen to some of the tunes that he's compiled on his new CD.

I hope to see some of you at the Iron Post in downtown Urbana.
