Subject: Cajun music at Sipyard - Friday, Sept. 1 (6 to 8:30pm)

We have a bit of a Noisy Gators reunion coming up on Friday evening,
Sept. 1 at the Sipyard in Urbana.  As the "Backdoor Cajuns,"
I'll be playing Cajun & Zydeco tunes with Matt Turino, Randy Cordle
and Sam Payne.

This will be part of the Urbana First Fridays celebration, and there
will be a lot of activities happening in downtown Urbana that night.

On outdoor beer garden, the Sipyard is located at 204 West Main St. in
Urbana, just west of the Community Center for the Arts.  I hope that
some of you can make it.

Friends and music lovers,

Saturday, Sept. 30 - Backdoor Cajun Band, 6 to 8pm

This is a new band project, and one that is firmly rooted in years of
gigs with the Noisy Gators and Creole Stomp. This band has three of
the Gators - Matt Turino on fiddle, Randy Cordle on bass and mandolin,
and me on accordion and bass. Sam Payne plays guitar as part of this
line up.  Come and check it out.  We'll play a lot of traditional Cajun
and Creole songs, some that I learned from Dennis Stroughmatt, and others
from Mr. Morris Ardoin, Preston Frank, D.L. Menard, the Balfa Brothers,
Geno Delafose and more.

If you like Cajun and Zydeco, then come on out!
