Dear friends and music lovers,
The Rose Bowl tent is up and the music schedule is chock-full of good choices. I'm happy that I'll be playing there twice in the next several days. Here are the details --
Tuesday, May 10 - 5:00 to 7:00PM, a Happy Hour show with Cowboy John Coppess & the Limping Cowboy Band. Expect originals by John, and add equal amounts of John Prince, Johnny Cash and good western tunes.? Yip-ee-kai-aye-ay!? ?Along with John (on guitar/vocals) & Suzanne on vocals, the band will include Doug Schroer (harmonicas), Marten "Chachi" Stromberg on bass and me on guitar.
Thursday, May 12 - 7:30 to 9:00PM with the Occasional Cajun Band. This will be a Cajun dance hall version of the band with Sam Payne (guitar), Cody Jensen (drums), Charlie Harris (bass), Frances Harris and Amanda Ramey (fiddles), Clayton Deering (pedal steel) and yours truly on accordions.? We'll play traditional Cajun & Creole tunes and get-down Zydeco. Bring your dance shoes & dance partner.
