Yes, the Folk and Roots Winter Weekend is coming on Thursday, Feb 2 thru Saturday, Feb. 4. There are nine performances and two jam sessions on the schedule.? All events will be at the Rose Bowl.? Here is the schedule --? Thursday 2/2 5 pm Ashley Riley? ?(singer/songwriter, Decatur IL) 630 pm Bandoneon Massacre? ?(our excellent local Tango orchestra) 8 pm Occasional Cajun Band? ?(local Cajun, Creole & Zydeco)Friday 2/3 5 pm Tunewrangler? ?(Jordan Kaye and Co.) 730 pm New Missouri Fox Hunters? ?(acoustic roots music by Ryan Koenig & Co., St. Louis) 930 pm Rory Book and the Volumes? ?(homegrown rockin' blues)Saturday 2/4 2 pm - 330 pm Cajun jam with Occasional Cajun Band 330 pm - 5 pm Bluegrass jam with River Valley Rangers 6 pm Papashoy Klezmer Band? ?(traditional local klezmer village band) 8 pm Woke Mountain Boys? ?(acoustic trio, fronted by Jay Rosenstein) 930 pm River Valley Rangers? ?(bluegrass band from Chicago) Please note that there will be no cover for these show, so please be generous with donations. The tip bucket will be passed and all of the proceeds will support the festival. The festival will pay every performer, for sure.
