Globalization at Food Co-ops

Many of our favorite "natural/organic" brands are now owned by the world's 
worst corporations.

Bearitos, for example, is owned by the Hain Food Group, whose main 
investors are mutual funds like Wellington Management, whose prime 
stockholders include Philip Morris, Monsanto, ExxonMobil, Wal-Mart, 
McDonald's, etc.

family/regional/co-op producers which develop regional economies.  This
