Greetings!

Common Ground Food Co-op is looking for board members.

Applications are available at the store, and are due
by Nov. 30, 2002.

What does a Board do?

Acts as a liaison between GCFC and the IDF
Attends IDF Board meetings
Attends IDF Program Committee meetings
Keeps the general membership informed about CGFC
issues. (Including a monthly report)
Attends to long-term planning (financial and
otherwise)
Plans and creates the agenda for CGFC general
membership meetings
Creates and maintains CGFC outreach and other
programs.   
Participates in staff hiring/firing decisions.

A board member can expect to:
Spend 3-5 hours per week on member duties including
attending bi-weekly board meetings. These hours
constitute core worker status.
