COUCH is hiring!  Community of Urbana-Champaign Cooperative Housing (COUCH) needs a bookkeeper.  This is a paid position, $100/month.  The bookkeeper's responsibilities include: pay COUCH bills, make bank deposits, keeping accurate and detailed records on Quicken, reconcile the monthly bank statement, make quarterly financial reports to the COUCH Treasurer, keep records on membership up to date,  and general filing.  This takes about 10 hours/month.  The bookkeeper reports to the COUCH Board generally and to the Treasurer specifically.  Qualifications include: basic accounting experience, attention to detail, good organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines reliably, interest in working with a democratically run cooperative organization.
