are held at the Police Training Institute, 1004 South Fourth; there are
field trips to the Champaign County Correctional Center, METCAD and
auxiliary training sites.  
 
The next class begins on Thursday February 16 at 6:30 p.m. at PTI; classes
are held every Thursday through April 27th.  Realizing that emergencies come
up, we ask that our sponsored candidates commit to attending at least 80% of
the classes.  
 
Lt. David Nelson is the coordinator for the candidates sponsored by our
police department.  Please contact him directly to let him know who would
like to attend; his tx is 244-7020.  If you have questions, please don't
hesitate to get in touch with either of us.
