Subject: civilian oversight of the police/Champaign-Urbana

Hi: We received an article about the Champaign County Coalition for
Police Review and wanted to let you know about our related work. The
Police Assessment Resource Center (PARC) is a nongovernmental
organization dedicated to advancing effective, respectful, and publicly
accountable policing. Last year, we wrote a report for the Eugene
Police Commission describing the various civilian oversight models in
place in the U.S. That report is available on our website at
www.parc.info <http://www.parc.info/> and should be of interest to you
as you pursue meaningful oversight of the police.

We would appreciate an opportunity to speak with someone from your
group, so if someone wants to give a call at the number below, we'll
call back at a time of your choosing.

Thanks,

Allyson Collins
