[CPRB] Champaign situation, meeting

I would like to meet face to face to discuss this, and
Tracy Parsons is interested in talking with us, too -
maybe even getting us in to the Champaign police
community relations meeting when they discuss this
report.  Sounds like CU Citizens, VEYA and maybe
others would be interested...

So I suggest everybody email me your availability to
meet and I'll set up something soon - and let's make a
secial effort to reconnect with our friends who are
working on other projects at the moment, too.

But briefly:

The subcommittee that wrote the report we've been
discussing has not yet reported back to its police
community relations parent committee.  So this issue
is far from being as far along as the N-G made it
sound like.  Some of the larger committee apparently
have some reservations about it - that is, the weak
form that's proposed.  The question that Tracy Parsons
at least would like us to think over with him is
whether it's better to have some board even if it's
weaker or to have no board if we can't have a stronger
one.

There are of course other issues to discuss, too.

Anyway, anyone who'd like a copy of the report, let me
know.  And please, if you want to meet, let me know
when you can.  I know we went thru this a few times,
but it does change, so I want to check in.
