You'd certainly need at least minimal patches to our ETX
implementation, but as David said it shouldn't be hard.
If it becomes hard, I'm sorry to say, it's my fault and 
I did something wrong.

Our ETX implemention does no transport, it depends on 
inserting an opaque message in an outside protocol.
For us, that outside protocol happens to be hsls, but 
it should not be hard to use another if opaque extensions 
can be added to said protocol.
