Now I'm getting a link error:

# link cuw_pc/netbsd
/home/bcomisky/cuwin/netbsd/build.cuwin/T/bin/i386--netbsdelf-ld -T
/home/bcomisky/cuwin/netbsd/cuwin-netbsd-snap-26-Dec-2005/src/sys/arch/i386/conf/kern.ldscript
-Ttext c0100000 -e start -X -o netbsd ${SYSTEM_OBJ} ${EXTRA_OBJ} vers.o
pf_ioctl.o(.text+0x4151): In function `pf_pfil_attach':
: undefined reference to `if_pfil'
pf_ioctl.o(.text+0x415f): In function `pf_pfil_attach':
: undefined reference to `pfil_add_hook'
[ repeated bunches o' times ]

Is there any reason to keep this kernel option is commented out for the
*pc kernel config files?

#options PFIL_HOOKS # pfil(9) packet filter hooks
