[CUWiN-Dev] FW: A quick question about the equipment compatibility

Hi, everyone!

I asked the same question to the Netgate guys too.

And they answered that there should be no problem running EMP-8602 card on
NetBSD if the mad wifi driver supports the 6th generation HAL.

 

Mr. David Young, does the cuwin 0.6.0 mad wifi support the 6th generation
HAL or do we have to change anything for the support?

I have a quick question about the equipment compatibility issue.

 

Currently we are using Netgate "5004 MP Atheros 4G / CM9: 802.11a/b/g
miniPCI Card" with the cuwin-ware on NetBSD and Soekris board.

But we are trying to upgrade our testbeds to more powerful hardware setting

The candidate Netgate card is "EMP-8602 6G: 802.11a/b/g 400mW High Power
mini PCI Card" and newer version of Soekris board using CuWin 0.6.0 version.

Does this mini PCI card and cuwin version matches well or have any
compatibility problem?
