CU wireless now has our very first prototype node n operation. I'm writing this message on my laptop wirelessly connected to miles, the node at OJC. Right now, we have no DHCP server running, but the basic network services we have set up (DNS, NAT routing and ssh) seem to be working almost flawlessly. With the omnidirectional antenna we can reach the Cinema cafe across the street, even through the rain/sleet/snow that's been falling most of the day. The Cinema connection is very reliable.

I have nothing further to add, other than to express my elation at finally seeing a Peer to Peer wireless node connect to the Internet.

best (wireless) regards,

Mark
