Artists Statement:
This series is a cumulative continuation of my "Indoor Landscape" series 
that I completed last year. They are presented formally, but do not 
necessarily abide by a specific rhetoric, although the language I build 
with these images borrows from or references cultural categories like
Landscape, Architecture, and Science. At this point in a global industrial 
culture, viewing culturally constructed categories of information as 
discreet is entirely obsolete. However, these categories do exist for a 
reason. This series approaches categories as possible metaphors for each 
other. We need an integrated approach to realize how our decisions affect 
everything.

Nature has its own internal structure which we observe and change, often 
based on our own needs. However, we are physically dependant on natural 
resources, especially the existence of nature as a mechanism which aides us 
in food production etc. so we may live. We cannot forget that nature 
constructs us, as much if not more so, than we construct it.

Visually, this is annunciated by didactic between artificial light, 
architecture, plants, and shadows.

Also that evening at the U-C IMC we will be showcasing local and national 
experimental music as part of the Boneyard Arts Festival with a concert 
starting at 8pm featuring:

- Law-Rah Collective
- Wilt
- Emulsion

There will be a cover charge for the concert.
