Sustainability advocates,

Life in the Bike Lane needs a new organization for the new year to ensure
that it continues in a reliable, less confusing manner.

I will be leaving the country in the beginning of March, and we need to talk
about how the structure will change and how the show will keep going.

The programming committee at WEFT wants to meet with me in January to talk
about how LITBL is going, and how it will pan out in the future.

Let's have another general meeting to talk about stuff. If people can't come
to the meeting, it would be wonderful if people coudl put in their two cents
over email.

Is Tuesday the 15th a good day for people? at 7 pm? I can send out an email
to the IMC and WEFT list with people's go ahead.

Is there at least one person who is interested in being the correspondant
with the programming committee when I leave, and can be responsible
generating steam to produce LITBL?

Here are some ideas for better organization that we can talk aobut at the
next meeting:

At WEFT, there will be two minidiscs for LITBL, one for timely news, and the
other for evergreens, to be used when a weekly piece isn't produced. This
way, it is ensured that a LITBL is aired every week, even when a producer
falls through.

On the evergreen disc, the airshifter marks when an evergreen is played, so
that a piece isn't played too often.

If possible, LITBL producers commit to a making a piece at a designated time
every couple of months (i.e.every 6th week). If the producer can't produce
something for that week, than an evergreen will be played.

The following show ideas have either audio already, or an easily accessible
source for audio. The ones with a star can be evergreens. Any more
suggestions?:

*-Yurt (sustainable building) behind the school for designing a society
*-Wetlands as a means to purify greywater
-Peotone airport
*-Bike Lanes on Green street
*-Renewable energy in IL
-Is the CATS plan really affective? Assessment of goals, etc
*-Top 10 bike routes in C-U
*-IL Fair Trade Camapign
-Drilling in alaska
*-War and oil
*-Donald Crummey talk on Global Environmentalism
-Cyanide use in metallic mining
*-Food irradiation
-The Smithfield Food Monopoly

That's it for now. Lemme know if the 15th is good for a general meeting.

Thanks, Pauline
