Also, the Illinois Fab Lab has a somewhat larger space. They
*might* have lockers available,
but I think not much more than that. Being operated by the
University, the Fab Lab is run a bit
differently from the MakerSpace, which is officially a Working Group

I will be moving to your town in a few months, and was very
excited to find out about the makerspace! I enjoy working
on projects that span a range of activities like; Arduino
and electronics, 3d printing (just built a MakerGear kit),
High Voltage hacks, Linux and computer programming, bike
welding, homebrewing, wood working, amateur
science, etc. It will be great to talk with others who have
common interests.

I was wondering if I could chat with someone involved with
the space in the next couple of weeks, before I visit the
town in mid-June. I'd like to find out a bit more about
your organization and the area (I'd be happy to call or
Skype at your convenience). Are you an open or fee-based
makerspace? What sorts of plans do you have? Are there
other groups in the area (like a DIY-Bio group)? Also, I
was wondering if you might have any advice on how difficult
it is to find a shed or other small area to set up as a
workshop, as I am trying to decide if I should look for a
place to live that has a garage or shed, or how much it
might cost to rent a workshop space. Does your makerspace
rent cubicles or storage areas?

Thanks a ton, look forward to meeting you and seeing the
space,
