Below is the text from the poster. I'm sure they are full of typos because I'm not feeling like correctly the typos here at the IMC. Please let me know if you are taking on one of these to add to or change.

Print Group
The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center Print Group  primarily works on th Public i, an independent, collectively run community-oriented publicationthat provides a forum for topics underreported and coices underrepresented in the dominant media. All contributors to the paper oare volunteers. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to submit articles or story ideas to the editorial collectivce. We prefer, but do not necessarily restrict ourselves to articles on issues of local impact written by authorswioth local ties. 

To get Involved. 
Come to a Print Group meeting. Thursday at 5:30 pm at the UCIMC

What you can do in the print group
Become a citizen journalist
Write a news story or opinion piece 
Help distribute the public I around the Champaign-Urbana area
Help with fund raisers
Join the editorial board


Shows Group
The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center Shows Group  brings the Indymedia spirit if openness and community access to the local music scene. We can help you get the information, equipment  and support that you need to bring your favorite bands to Champaign Urbana. The Shows group books everything from folk to punk to goth to indie rock to experimental and beyond.

To Get involved
Come to a shows group meeting any thrusday at 7 pm 
Come to an ImC show enjoy the music and introduce yourself to the imc staff

What you can do in the shows group
Learn to set up and run sound at a show
Learn to book and promote a show
Volunteer for securityor door staffing at a show and hear great music free
Help throw a major fesitival with lots of band
Help us apply for grants
Support and learn about the local music scene
Learn about and share new upcoming music with other music fans
Review demo cds sent to the group
Review or preview show for the public I newspaper
Hang up posters around town
Hand out handbills at your school, workplace or favorite hang out

Video Group
The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center Video Group  is a volunteer collective dedicated to putting the tools and skills for creating video into the hands of anyone with a use for them. The group also promotes independent and activist video and film by hosting scenings film fests and sponsoring programs on public access tv Insight channel 6.

To get involve
Come to a video group meeting 2nd and 4th Thursday at the ImC

What you can do in gtthe video group
Learn to work a video camera
Attend and video tape local and national events
Learn to use video editing software
Suggest ideas for future video projects 
Help us apply for grants 
Support and learn about the internation independent video scene
Help plan and staff independent screenings and film fests

Library group
The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center Library Group is a volunteer collective dedicated to building and maintaining the IMC progressive library and maintaining the media archive, materials produced by and for the IMC. The library contains books, videos, audio recording, zines, periodicals, and a clippings file. In 2003 we started hositing zine readings and have also hosted two minicomix workshops. 

To get involved
Come to a a library meeting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 7:30 pm. 

What you can do in th library group
Catalog books zines and archival materials
Help to maintain the library website
Sponsor a subscription to a periodical 
Assist with collection development
Write book and zine reviews
Help to organize and put on zine readings and workshops
Add yhou one new ideas and projects to the ucimc library project

Radio Group
The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center radio Group produces the ImC Radio News weeking for WEFT 90.1 FM our local community radio station. IMC RN Is also sindicated on other lowpower stations around the state. News pieces produced by radio group members have also been featured nationally on FSRN National Native News and other programs, The IMC Radio News is the oldest and longest running project of the UCIMC. 

To get involved
Come to our meeting Tuesday at noon at the ImC. You can be a reporter or producer without coming to a the meeting. Email radio at ucimc.org to find out how

What you can do in the radio group
Suggest news projects about local events or global events with a local bent
Inteview community members who make a difference
Learn or teach audio production skills
Be a technical producer for a week
Volunteer to cover a beat every week 
Produce and air a featur about something that interests you
Tell your story
Compile and coordinate headlines
Do voice overs
Airshift the news program at WEFT
Help keep the production room clean and organized
Help document the producation process
 Maintain the radio groups web archive of programs

Finance group
The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center Finance Group  oversees all fiscal aspecs of te UCImc including memberships, day to day accounting, the capital campaign, fiscal sponsorships, grant writing, etc. 

To get involved
Come to a finance group meeting 1st and 3rd Wednesday s at 7 pm

What you can do in the Finance group
If your are interested in learning about how to do finances accounting practives, raise money or do fundraising more generally, write grants and run a nonprofit then this is thergroup for you.
