This growing scandal w/the WH Press Office & Talon News' "Paul Gannon" goes
all over the Washington map with fingers in the Valerie Plame outing,
Swiftboat Vets for "Truth" slander, "Rathergate", and recent journalists on
the WH payroll pies. It's got Rove written all over it. I've been looking
into this all day and am totally drained. All i've got here are links and a
concept:
How about we feature this ongoing controversy thru the lens of Indymedia's
take on journalism? Can you guys come up with good links for our discussions
and/or statements on various Indy views on media and journalism?. How do we
differentiate Indy from soley partisan oufits like Talon? How do we interact
with the blogs? Did you know that media outlets applying for a WH "hard
pass" HAVE to have advertisers? :O (Talon didn't, another reason for
Gannon's day pass history). Am i biting off too much? Is it really two
seperate features? One on the scandal, another on Indy's take on journalism?
I don't think so.
The reporter in me sez' this thing is hot. The blogger in me 'sez it will
not go away. Ideas?
