PROGRESSIVE LEADER ADDRESSES GORE/NADER QUESTION ON WEFT

Local progressive community leader Esther Patt will be a guest on the Illinois
Labor Hour this Saturday at 11.  Esther has spent her career fighting abuses of
power and promoting the powerless.  She is the highly-regarded director of the
Champaign-Urbana tenant union, and she works to promote her values as a member
of the Urbana City Council.  A lifelong supporter of union labor, Esther is a
member of AFSCME ("AF-smee") local 698.  During the Labor Hour, Esther will
address the difficult question facing progressives in the upcoming election: 
Gore or Nader.  Following the discussion with Esther, the Labor Hour will
broadcast excerpts of Ralph Nader's speech from his October 10 rally in
Chicago.
