Library- no report

News - no report

public i - Raised $663 at the Highdive fundraiser. Total raised thus far is 
$1,100, the first issue cost about $300. They are putting together a website 
for the paper, and are adding a section called Community Profile which will 
highlight a group or individual that is creating change in the community.

Outreach- the Prompting Theater Street Theater was a success. Thanks to all 
the IMC volunteers who helped out. There next meeting will be Sept 2nd.

Space- new fridge. Is looking into having water hooked up.

Finanace- Their was a show at the IMC last night that raised $312 which was 
split four ways IMC and the three performers. Need to think of ways to sustain 
the funding for the IMC when founding funders finish their year commitment.We 
have $2,000 in our endowment, $837 in our checking account. Paul R. is working 
on a funding plan that he will present to the finance group that will have 
suggestions for structuring fundraising.

Tech- the new version of Active will be up on the website next week. They will 
take hiatus for two weeks. reconvene on Aug 22.Public access terminal in front 
room is fixed, thanks to Mike Perry. Creating logging procedures to keep track 
of what is on every machine.

Old Biz
General Membership Meeting August 22. Volunteers are needed for helping with 
set up and clean up the day of the event. Contact Ellen Knutson

The next planning meeting will be Friday Aug 17 at 6PM. The mailing will be 
Friday Aug 10th. Contact Peter Miller if you can help with the mailing

News group Changes. No spoke. News group is wrestling with changing their 
focus to be explicitly on producing radio programming. They will discuss it 
further in todays news group meeting.

Regional IMC gathering. Thinking about mid October. Send info to regional 
email list. Sascha is talking with Molly about this event.


New Business
New Video interest group. Paul R. will convene a group to talk about possible 
video projects etc. Public Access TV is a possible issue this group will 
explore. Paul R. will call over to Urbana public access to see what equipment 
they can offer. Our website doesn't have the bandwidth to post video, but we 
can put video on the global site or have showings.
