Thank you, Paul, for your helpful comments and for the quotes from our Web
Site Appropriate Use policy.  I'm hoping that there were others on the IMC
list besides me who had never seen the policy before, and who found it
enlightening.  I found it, in fact, to be extremely well written and
sensible, and I'm curious who wrote it.

Thanks to Mike also for his explanatory remarks in a separate e-mail.

It's obvious that some of you guys have given this way more thought than I
have, and your policy, as I said, seems pretty sensible to me, at least in
theory.  I can see how it could at times be difficult to administer in
practice, which I guess is why the controversy keeps resurfacing from time
to time.  I have every confidence that those of you who are diligent in
monitoring the web site will continue to do it with wisdom and
conscientiousness.

I can only reiterate my other concern, that I hope you won't start logging
the source whatever-it's-called of all the posts.
