I noticed that C.G. Estabrook's column did not appear in the latest
(December 14) issue of the Octopus.  Has he been quietly dropped, or is this
something that can be otherwise explained?

The question is asked - can we afford it [Labour's socialistic 
reforms]?  Supposing the answer is 'No,' what does that mean?  It
