Patch Adams will be a guest-in-residence at Unit One/Allen Hall 2/12-2/17.
His opening program will be Monday, Feb 12 at 9pm in the Main Lounge of
Allen Hall, 1005 W. Gregory, Urbana.

Patch Adams is a medical doctor who believes that healing should be a
"loving human interchange, not a business." After conducting a small free
hospital out of his home for several years, Patch has devoted the last 25
years of his life to building a large-scale free hospital in rural West
Virginia. He lectures internationally on topics of humor and health,
community, intimacy, and various aspects of the health care system. Patch is
also trained as a clown and organizes yearly clowning trips to Russion
orphanages and hospitals. A movie about Patch's life stars Robin Williams.
