Hey,

today in my news-gazoo I got a flyer for the "Midwest Ag Expo 2001."
It's a bunch of biotech and fertilizer and farm equipment companies
getting together and putting up a bunch of booths advertising their stuff.
Monsanto will be there, so will ADM, and hundreds of other companies with
names like "Central Petroleum Company" and "Midwest Biotech, Inc."
Slightly less unpleasant groups like the Illinois State Water Survey will
also have booths.
I'm interested in going, maybe as a reporter for the UCIMC, mostly
because I want to learn about who is into stuff like biotechnology in
Illinois, and what their products are, and how they sell them,
 and having
promotional
materials from the companies could be great stuff to have for reference.
The days for the expo are January 30th and 31st (a tuesday and a
wednesday) from 9:30 am to 4pm, and Feb. 1st from 9am to 3pm.
  who is interested??

"...Monsanto's own tests showed increased levels of mastitis, a painful
udder infection, in cows injected with rBGH. According to food safety
experts, increased levels of mastitis would force farmers to use more
antibiotics, which would be more likely to contaminate the cows' milk.
rBGH milk would also spoil faster because it contains more bacteria and
has a higher "somatic cell count" (translated into layman's language, this
means that the milk contains "more pus").
