Hi all,

I fear this proposition has come too late to act upon. However, I'll throw
it out there.
I sent a message out a few days ago about the Public Hearing tonight
regarding Illinois Power's tariff.
The hearing is in front of the Illinois Commerce Commission, the government
body that is to decide whether or not the tariff passes.
They are coming from Springfield just to hear and see what we have to say
about IP's plans here in U-C.

My propositions are the following:
-Come to the Champaign City Council Chambers at 7pm tonight ( Neil and
University) and be part of a crowd of people showing opposition to IP's
tariff.
-Come to the hearing and speak about any experiences you have had with
butchered trees, and any oppositions you have to the vegetation management
plan.
-Submit a written statement about any of these things tonight to the ICC.
- Submit a statement to me about any opposition, and I can give it to the
ICC.

But what would be really great tonight is if a lot of people could show up
in costumes. Tree costumes, animal costumes, or just in bright green. We
hope to have as many posters of butchered trees, banners, signs, and people
wearing buttons and costumes as possible.

Please help us with this! This meeting is crucial to express to the ICC that
the public does not approve of IP's plans.

If you have any questions or need any help preparing for this, email me or
call the ISEN office today. 384-0830. Thanks, Pauline
