hi all

i propose that the following IMC/GrrlFest events go ON AIMEE'S GirlZone
CALENDAR!! i've talked with enough folks to know that there is
a sufficient committment.

objections or concerns, please reply to this e-mail ASAP!!:

******************EVENTS*************************
Friday 4/27 at 4PM (or whatever time is good with GrrlFest kickoff and
school letting out...)

IMC Workshop: GrrlFest participants get trained to be IMC
reporters. one or two IMC women train girls on using the minidisc
recorder to do interviews. we get some cameras and/or video equipment and
we train on those too. we print up IMC press passes for the participants
and turn the kid-reporters out into the field.

FRIDAY evening--THE IMC back room is at the disposal of GrrlFest for an
all ages show. THIS IS ALREADY OKAYED AND FINALIZED BY MOLLY, who's in
charge of bookings.

saturday and sunday: IMC staffers are aware that GrrlFest participants
may be stopping in. we are prepped to answer questions, put resources at
girls' disposal. help them post stories to urbana.indymedia.org.

SATURDAY evening--same as Friday evening. THIS IS OKAYED AND FINALIZED
per MOLLY.

Sunday 4/29 1:15 PM: GrrlFest girls are on the agenda of the news
collective. they are temporary full-fledged members of the NEWS working
group. we workshop their news stories in progress and help them wrap up
and post to the website anything that hasn't already gotten up there.

SUNDAY evening--same as Friday again. ditto from MOLLY.

***

other details: Sarah Carsey has said she's interested in doing P. A.
system, possibly on all of those evenings. if we knew another person who
wanted to do P. A. system with Sarah, that would rock.

i am volunteering to co-ordinate keyholders and staffers for those
evenings, so Pauline doesn't end up having to do extra staff
co-ordinating.

###

aimee, i'll give you a ring in the morning to confirm all this. this is
all a THUMBS UP/ACES/GREEN LIGHT/IT'S A GO on our end here at the IMC!!

sorry to be so last minute about it, but it's ALL GOOD to GO, as far as i
can see.
