[Imc] Help provide another Native news service to C-U

Independent Native News, a M-F 5 minute news service produced out of
Anchorage, Alaska, would like to be aired on WEFT.

WEFT already has National Native News, through PRI. INN is an alternative to
NNN because it works with citizen journalists more and has a considerably
larger base of reporters than NNN. INN also accepts stories from UCIMC folk,
so we would be providing U-C Native American issues to our community and to
a nationwide audience.

Independent Native News is free (NNN is not), and needs to be downloaded off
the internet everyday.

This proposal is going to be brought to the WEFT Programming Committee next
Wednesday, and we need someone to step up and take the responsibility of
recording it once a day and bringing it to WEFT. Anybody?

Also, since we have such heated controversy about Chief Illiniwek, I urge
people to submit to them when there are new developments.

Please contact me if you are interested, even if you would only be able to
do record INN once a week.

Thanks, Pauline
