Present:  Aaron, Sandra, Jim Kotowski, Belden, John, Paul, Brent,

Shelly Masar's submission of Nate Banks' article to the Octopus:

After some debate, we came to the conclusion that we will, for this
article, allow the Octopus to print it after our publication date, with
Nate Banks' permission and a tag saying that this article comes from the
public i.

Sections:

Environmental - Lindsey's Alloy Casting is in (840)
                             Orion is working on an article on the
Ecovillage

Art - Artists:  Becca's articles are in
                         Articles are all on their way today or tomorrow

Human Rights : Sundiata Cha-Jua : done and posted (~1200)

Community Forum: Jim Kotowski's "First Person Diatribe", "Why so
bloodthirsty?" - first draft submitted
                                   Sal Nudo - "Free the Armory"

Labor: Belden looking into possible article for this issue

Media: waiting on extened draft by Rose Marchek (~1000)

Gorvernment: charter schools (~1700)

Distribution:
-people publishing from out of town should be sent a copy (contact sandra)
-revision of the routes still needed (check with mike if he still is going
to continue working on it)
-three month commitment
-sandra taking care of subscriptions
-individual subscription ad being put back in paper (darrin)

Fundraising:
-three firm sponsers union prof employees, world harvest, afl-cio
other firms being contacted (20 dollars a month with up front for a year
if possible)
-text to be decided on about acknowledgements related to sponsorship
(necessary to get other sponsors)
the public i wishes to express its deep appreciation to the following for
