[Imc] steering and quorum

Hi all,

I'll be away from Urbana for the next several weeks and won't be able to
make steering meetings for the next 3 sundays. Unfortunately, Ellen
Knutson (the other in our little group of 2) will not be able to cover for
me. I wonder if there is a procedural way to get around the fact that many
of us will be on vacation in the coming weeks. I don't want to hold up IMC
business for lack of quorum. Perhaps if the librarians' working group
takes a hiatus, that would handle the quorum issue. I'm thinking along the
lines of what the outreach group (aka Brian) did.

Any thoughts or alternative ideas?

Physical separateness can never be overcome by electronics,
but only by "conviviality", by "living together" in the most
literal physical sense. The physically divided are also the
conquered and the Controlled. "True desires" - erotic,
gustatory, olfactory, musical, aesthetic, psychic, & spiritual
- are best attained in a context of freedom of self and other
in physical proximity & mutual aid. Everything else is at best
a sort of representation. -- Hakim Bey
