What is the cooperative movement and what are all of these coops doing in
Champaign-Urbana?  

Come learn about co-ops!  These organisations for mutual
aid have been around for over a century, giving people power over their
eating, living and buying situations, and creating community where none
was before.  Jim Jones, who has been involved with co-ops for over thirty
years, will tell us about the inspiration and rationale for the co-op
movement, as well as its history.  Members of local co-ops will also be
there to talk about opportunities for co-operation right here in
Champaign-Urbana.

Jim Jones is the General Manager of NASCO Properties, an affiliate of the
North American Students of Co-operation.
