Dear Sir,

I am Adebiyi Adewunmi Orekoya. I am a Nigerian Citizen who would like to study an undergraduate course in Computer sciences in Canada as a transfer student
I have successfully completed my Secondary School Education and have written the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (W.A.S.S.C.E.) conducted by West African Examination Council and have obtained 7 credits, which includes Mathematics and English Language.
Coupled with this, I have been offered admission in a university in Nigeria to study Computer Sciences.
Having said that I wish to use this medium request if you or your Organisation offer in any form, financial aid or scholarship that can ease my financial need if and when admitted in to a university in Canada.

Basically I am requesting for this based on the fact that I need it.
Though It is not everything that I desire is all that I need, it is in the best interest of my future that I have taken to this medium. The bad economy has successfully made matters worse for families who wants to secure a good future for their children.
Here in Nigeria the prospect of a good future can only be determined by time.
This reflects on the exchange rates of foreign currencies to ours'. An example is the exchange rate of a dollar to that of a naira is =N= 130 to $1.
At that average rate, =N=130 to $1, a university in the United States of America or Canada with a total fees of about $20,000 will be asking for an equivalent of =N= 2,600,000. This, my family can't afford.
My family has a maximum income of about =N=10,000 /month ($76.923).
This is coupled with the fact that I am under a single parent
My father is an Electrical Engineer but his limited resources have not been able to satisfy our unlimited wants.

Haven to live in the abyss of penury can only be painful when my dreams of going to a good university and becoming a graduate with a bachelor's degree in computer sciences becomes unrealistic.

Staying in the country would have been a reasonable option that I would have taken. The falling standard of education coupled with the fact that our lectures in the country have been able to use strike action as a tool against the government when pressing home their demands without considering the plight of students.

It is in this view that I have taken to this option so as to secure a brighter future for my family.
I hope to hear a favourable reply from you very soon.

Yours Faithfully
Adebiyi Adewunmi Orekoya .
