The DC Shorts Film Festival is now the largest short film event on the East Coast,
reaching more than 8,500 audience members and dozens of filmmakers. Some of those
dozens need a place to sleep -- which is where you come in.

For the last 8 years, local residents have graciously opened their homes to filmmakers
from as close as NYC and as far as Sydney. In order for the film festival to run
 successfully, we as that you join these amazing hosts and house a filmmaker (or
 2 or 3) from Thursday, September 6 through Sunday, September 9.

In exchange for your generosity, we will gladly provide four (4) tickets (use any
way you want -- 4 to one show, 2 to 2 shows, etc.) two (2) tickets to any party,
 two (2) tickets to one "Best of" Show, plus an online pass to the DC Shorts Online
Film Festival.

The DC Shorts Film Festival and Screenplay Competition is the largest short film
 event on the East Coast. In our 9th year, we are showing 140 films from 27 nations
- and expect hundreds of filmmakers and thousands of audience members mix, mingle
and explore the art of short cinema.

DC SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL

During the film competition weekend (September 6-8), will screen the films in 18
 unique 90-minute showcases - all followed by Q&A sessions with the filmmakers. 
After the competition weekend (September 9-16), we will re-screen all of the programs,
culminating with the special "Best of DC Shorts" screenings on September 15 and 
16.

DC SHORTS SCREENPLAY COMPETITION

Join us on Friday, September 14 to see actors perform a table reading of our six
 screenplay finalists. After the performance, vote for your favorite, and the writer
wals away with a $2,000 prize! Celebrate at the complimentary wine and cheese reception
that follows.

DC SHORTS ONLINE FILM FESTIVAL

NEW FOR 2012! Can't make it to DC in September, but want to see our incredible films?
Love the festival and want to see more at your leisure? With a single $20 pass, 
you can watch over 100 short films on any computer, smartphone or tablet.

tickets before they sell out (they always do!)

And remember to buy a ticket for one of our LEGENDARY PARTIES - the City View Party
on the roof of Carroll Square, the Grand Bash at the U.S. Navy Memorial, and the
 Closing Party at the Atlas Performing Arts Center. Party tickets include open bar
and delicious nibbles.

Speaking of food...we have something special for foodies! SELECTED FILMS HAVE BEEN
PAIRED WITH LOCAL CHEFS and mixologists who will prepare delicious morsels for you
to enjoy after the film screening. This sumptuous program is included in the ticket
