*Saturday, July 28th from 6pm-9pm in the Women’s Resources Center *

*Pretty Little Debris* is an art exhibition of recycled, repurposed, and
natural artwork created by local artists in Champaign-Urbana. The show will
be on Saturday, July 28th from 6pm-9pm in the Women’s Resources Center (703
S. Wright St. MC-302 2nd Floor, Champaign, IL 61820). The art featured will
be the collected artwork of students from the class *(Re)Making
Matter(s),*a class through the Channing Murray School of Radical Arts.

*(Re)Making Matter(s) *focuses on making art sustainable and accessible by
using recycled, repurposed, and salvaged supplies and materials. The
students in this class ranged in artistic backgrounds from none to
extensive experience. In this class students shared skills, ideas, and
materials to make art in a variety of techniques. The instructors
introduced techniques in material gathering and construction and the
students did the rest. The result was a diverse body of work that redefined
the student’s relationship with art. These students gave sticks, rubbish,
and everyday objects an artistic life. *Pretty Little Debris* is the
collective work of artists participating in the class itself.

Free and open to the public. If you have any questions or require specific
accommodations, please email the Women’s Resources Center Program
Coordinator, Rachel Storm, at rstorm2 at illinois.edu, or call (217) 333-3137.
