I hope this message finds you well. The Department of African American Studies is hosting a forum, “The 2012 Presidential Election and Black America,” this Monday, November 5, 2012 from 7-9:00 PM at the Krannert Art Museum, Room 62.  The objective of the event is to provide a forum where faculty, students, and the community can discuss the potential impact of the upcoming election on the lives of black people in the United States and across the African Diaspora.  I have attached a copy of the flyer for your review.

I’m writing to ask whether or not the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center would consider co-sponsoring and advertising the event.  We are not asking for a financial contribution from IMC.  If your organization agrees, we will include IMC on the conference flyer.
